A Level & AS Results 2018
Congratulations to our A level students on another set of outstanding results!
Barnhill School students at Post 16 celebrated outstanding successes in today’s A-level and AS-level results, marking yet another year of excellent academic and personal achievements for students at the school, with an overall pass rate of 97%.
Some of our A Level results include:
Silvia Gill: Psychology A*, Sociology A*, English A – Moving on to study Law at London School of Economics
Aruvi Jeyakant: Maths A*, Further Maths A, Chemistry A – Moving on to study a Masters in Mathematics at Southampton University
Ricky Ahir: Business Studies B, Finance B, Sociology B – Moving on to study at University of Westminster
Luke Miller: Maths A, Physics A, Bioloy B – Moving on to study Engineering at University of Mount Olive, USA with a Sports Scholarship
We want to congratulate all our students and wish them well as they take up their places at university, employment, or begin their gap year.
Silvia Gill is going on to study Law at London School of Economics. She commented, “I am really happy with my results. I got an A* in Psychology, an A* in Sociology and an A in English. I’m so excited to be going to LSE!”
Luke Miller is going on to study in America on a sports scholarship. He said, “I’m so happy! I got two As and a B. I will be flying to America this week and will be studying a four-year course in Engineering at the University of Mount Olive.”
The school also saw some excellent AS results this year with two students achieving 4 As. Congratulations to our AS students - we wish them well for their final year at Barnhill Sixth Form. Compared to last year, we have seen a 10% increase in students achieving A-A* and an 11% increase in students achieving B-A.
