Head of Year 8 School Welcome
It is with great pleasure I extend a warm welcome to our current and prospective parents and carers. My name is Mr Sanjeev Gaddu and I am Head of Year 8. I have been teaching at Barnhill Community School since September 2016 and it has been an honour to be able to collaborate my experiences and expertise to educate Barnhill students making them into outstanding citizens.
At Barnhill Community School, we work hard to ensure all students develop a strong sense of community and encourage and celebrate the demonstration of our core values of Respect, Wisdom, Aspiration and Community. Through both formal and informal activities such as PSHE, Community services, educational visits and motivational talks, we strive prepare all students to become lifelong learners and responsible citizens ready to meet the challenges of the future.
In addition, students who attend Barnhill Community School at the end of Key Stage 2 can look forward to the benefits of being taught by dedicated staff team and state of the art facilities, which allow them to achieve their full potential and achieve great GCSE or A Levels. By encouraging each child to be independent and to develop a sense of responsibility for themselves and respect for others in this environment. While being supported with our great pastoral team who look after students’ mental wellbeing to offering a safe, happy place where everyone is known and valued, and where differing needs are acknowledged, accepted and met. I also believe in working in partnership with parents and families has allowed us to provide a safe haven where every student is known allowing us to meet their individual needs. We are very proud of what we have to offer and the achievements we achieve on a daily basis. We would encourage you to visit and see for yourself!
