Actions speak louder than words - whatever the language

🎠Festival of Theatre at Barnhill
Our school recently enjoyed two fantastic interactive theatre performances in French and Spanish. The plays brought language learning to life in a fun, engaging, and memorable way.
The French play told the funny story of a couple who couldn’t agree on how to celebrate their anniversary, leading to lots of humour and misunderstandings. The Spanish play was a disastrous (and hilarious!) rehearsal of Romeo and Juliet, where everything went wrong in the best possible way. Both performances included music and invited students on stage to take part.
Students described the experience as “really funny,” “interactive,” and “exciting.” Many said they felt welcome and more confident on stage. Some were even inspired to visit France or Spain — and maybe become actors one day!
The festival was a fantastic way to learn languages through laughter, participation, and live theatre. ðŸŽâœ¨
