The school opened to visitors on the 28th September, with all curriculum areas showing off the best of Barnhill.
Over 500 parents and family members attended to get a taste for the Barnhill educational experience.
Each visitor had tour guides from year 8 and the sixth form to see science experiments, drama, dance, Sports and all the excellent work that takes place in classrooms.
I hope that our visitors enjoyed their evening and think of Barnhill as the choice for their children.

CERN is the site of the Large Hadron Collider (LHC), the world's largest and highest-energy particle collider. The main site at Meyrin, Geneva, hosts a large computing facility, which is primarily used to store and analyse data from. Our students visited the facility on Monday 4th July. Below is a recount of the day written by one of our students.
Year 6 children coming to Barnhill in September got their first taste of secondary school life during the transition day on 5th July.
Mrs Arjoon, Food Technology teacher, arranged for our Hospitality and Catering students to have a visit from Bartlett Mitchell, catering company. Students were treated to cakes made by the visiting chefs and they participated in a lively discussion about career possibilities and challenges within the industry.
