Record GCSE Results

Students and staff at Barnhill celebrated another year of superb GCSE results.  These results are the highest in the school's history.

The school has exceeded its record for progress 8, with a score of +0.87.

  • 64% of students achieved a grade 5 in English and maths and 82% achieved a grade 4.
  • 32% of GCSE grades across all subjects are 7 and higher.
  • 43% of applied grades are distinction and higher.

Head teacher Mr Jones said; "these great achievements will build superb futures for the students of Barnhill.  We have once again been simply blown away by the results.  It just goes to show what is possible when students, staff and families work so very well together.  I wish to congratulate all students and wish them the very best for their futures.  I would also like to pass my sincere thanks to the school's staff.  Their tremendous hard work and care has lifted students to achieve their best."
