Ladies London Derby

A year 9 student secured a funding allocation from Jack Petchey and with her money decided to get a small group of female students to go to a women's football match   The young ladies got to watch two London rivals, Chelsea vs Arsenal play in the Women's Super League at Stamford Bridge on 15th March

This was incredibly important to the students as many of these students love football but all observe that it is very male orientated.

It was an exciting match with Chelsea playing confidently and making the most of the home advantage.  They scored 4 goals (one of which was an own goal!) securing a 3-1 victory over Arsenal.

Thank you to Ms Panesar, Ms Love and Ms Calaca for accompanying the students and to the students for being so well behaved.
