Top performing Sixth Form in Hillingdon!

In September, we shared with you the fantastic A-Level results of 2019, where the school attained record results and our highest ever percentage of A*-C at 74%.

Last week the Department for Education released their performance tables which show the progress scores for all 6th Form institutions.  We are delighted to announce that Barnhill achieved a record Progress Score (Level 3 Value Added Score) of +0.36 for A Levels which puts the school’s Sixth Form in the top 6% of the country!

In addition Barnhill Sixth Form’s achieved a progress score of +0.29 for A-Level performance (which also includes AS Levels) makes us the top performing Sixth Form in Hillingdon! The Sixth Form at Barnhill also bettered progress scores of many local Sixth Forms outside the borough including many in Ealing.

We are also extremely proud to say that 3 of our departments, Chemistry, Physics, and Psychology are ranked 1st in the borough in terms of progress and English Literature came 2nd in the borough.

All in all this is a wonderful achievement and is a testament to the dedication and expertise of our staff and students and the high quality teaching and learning taking place across the school.

Needless to say we are extremely proud and will be looking forward to seeing more fantastic results with our current Year 13s in August 2020!
