Barnhill graded as 'Outstanding'

The school was visited by Ofsted in February and I am pleased to be able to share the report with you.

We are very pleased for the local community that the school has been graded as ‘Outstanding’.  This is the highest category that a school can achieve and it is the first time in the school’s history that it has received this grade.  At Barnhill, we see our role as serving our local community with the highest standards of education, care and leadership.  Each year approximately 5% of ‘Good’ schools are graded as ‘Outstanding’, so we are very pleased that Barnhill has been recognised in this way.

This judgement was only made possible by the hard work of the school staff; the ambition and drive of the students; recent changes in trust leadership; and by the ongoing support of the parents, carers and the local community.  We will, of course, continue to work hard to provide the highest standards of education for the students in our care.
