Uniform & Equipment
Our uniform suppliers will be changing to 'School Bells' for September 2026.
Whilst we transition between our old and new suppliers and identity, we will be using two uniform suppliers, up until January 21st 2027.
- Parents with children in Year 10 and 11 should purchase items from Vicky’s which will have the existing branding. This will continue until 31st January 2027.
- Parents with children in Year 7, 8 and 9 should purchase items from School Bells which will have the new branding. This will commence from August 2026
From the 1st February 2027, Barnhill will transition to School Bells as our exclusive uniform provider.

Supplementary Uniform Rules
- Students are not allowed dyed, or multicoloured hair or styles that are offensive, e.g. shaved/partially shaved heads.
- Shaved lines and patterns into hair or eyebrows are not permitted.
- Painted or acrylic nails are not permitted.
- False eyelashes or makeup are not permitted.
- Jewellery/ Piercings: no jewellery may be worn in school with the exception of a watch (which is not a Smartwatch) and a pair of small studs.
- Trainers are only to be worn for PE unless we are provided with a doctor’s certificate giving a medical explanation.

- School bag compulsory for year 7-11
- School Planner (Provided by the school)
- 3 black pens (minimum)
- 2 green pens (minimum)
- 2 sharpened pencils
- 1 eraser
- 1 pencil sharpener
- 1 ruler
- 1 glue stick
- 1 highlighter
- 1 scientific calculator (optional)
- Colouring pencils (optional)
- 1 pencil case (should be transparent design in year 10 and 11)
Equipment and uniform are checked daily by form tutor by ensuring planners and pencil cases are on the table.
On Monday each week there is an equipment inspection.
Students with incorrect uniform or insufficient stationery will be sent to PSM/Student services to rectify this.
Repeated ‘offences’ [3 or more occasions within a half term] will result in a C2 detention.
Pupils can purchase stationery items on Tuesdays and Thursdays outside student services.
