'Geography, the subject that holds the key to our future'

In Year 7, the students are studying the topic "Geographer's Toolkit".  In this topic the students learn a range of skills that are essential for the learning of Geography on their journey through Barnhill.  As part of this, the students undertake a Geographical investigation.  Within this investigation the students go through the Geographical enquiry process from planning to collecting data and analysing the data.

The students went out on a walk outside of Barnhill School, to collect this data to aid with their investigation.  It was the students first opportunity to see how Geography is more than in the classroom, conducting this data collection and then drawing conclusions.  As we continue on this Geographical journey we can continue to develop these skills.
