A day of celebrating reading and books
On Thursday 5th March we celebrated World Book Day. Several staff members dressed up as characters from books, and the Science Department went above and beyond by dressing up as food and the caterpillar from The Hungry Caterpillar by Eric Carle.
Pupils were challenged with a 'Staff Shelfie Competition' where they took a guess at recognising bookshelves belonging to various staff members. Aiyarna in year 7 got all the answers right; Jasmine and Noemie came a close 2nd with 13/15 answers correct.
It was a great opportunity to encourage reading and a love for literature with our pupils.
