Lucky students get to reach for the Sky!
On 22nd April, 52 Barnhill students travelled to the Sky TV Campus in Osterley to celebrate Earth Day.
The day began with a Question and Answer session with a Sky TV environment expert with some amazing questions from Barnhill students including one question from Ihsan asking “What is the one most important thing we can do to protect our environment?”
Then there was a tour of the campus during which students saw the original Spiderman costume, an F1 racing car, and loads of premiership footballs - amongst many other amazing things!
Finally the afternoon ended with all our students coming together to make their own environment-themed news programme.
Barnhill students took on a range of roles – director, producer, presenter, reporter, camera operator, editor and voiceover artist. Under extreme time pressure they delivered the goods – a fun but professional 10 minute news programme.
This was the second Barnhill visit to Sky – we hope to do more before the end of summer term.
