Jack Petchey Awards

Students collected awards and Rock Band performed at a very special JPF event

The Jack Petchey Achievement Award Scheme is the JPF flagship programme recognising young people aged 11-25 across London and Essex for their achievements.

Gemma Juma, CEO of the Jack Petchey Foundation, said 'celebration events such as this provide a real opportunity to highlight the positive contributions being made by young people in schools, youth groups and communities across London and Essex'.

Congratulations to the Barnhill winners, Jamal, Aiden, La'Raya, Ian, Faith, Daniel, Rizia, Sundus, Aroush and Sophia who all received an award.

Well done also to Rock Band (Michael, Adam, Julian, Hayat, Anupa, Marie, Manassa, Sukhpreet & Cria)  who performed at the event as part of the 'Take to the Stage' competition with a chance of winning £1000 for the school.  There are a few more rounds to go before the winner is selected but we are in with a chance with such a superb performance.

Miss Irwin, Student Services Officer, winner of one of the Leader Awards, said 'I was honoured to receive a Jack Petchey Award at a truly memorable celebration event. The evening was made even more special by the outstanding performance from our school band, whose talent and energy provided wonderful entertainment throughout. A huge amount of credit goes to the event coordinators, who organised such a seamless and inspiring occasion. It was a moment filled with pride, not just personally, but for our entire school community, as we celebrated the achievements of all those recognised with this prestigious award'.
