C6 Cricket - A Game Changer!
We are extremely lucky to have the support of Simon Hughes, former cricketer and ambassador for the sport through his broadcasting activities, who has introduced us to Raj Chityal, Co-founder and Director of C6 Cricket.
Simon and Raj came to school on 7th May to conduct a coaching session with some of our students during which Simon put together a short promotional video which can be viewed here.
The students thoroughly enjoyed the session and Yashveer was awarded the Global X shirt, presented by Mr Jones, for his 3 x 10 runs during the 'barnstorming knock'.
Mr Chityal said to Mr Jones, 'what a credit to your school your students and staff are. I thoroughly enjoyed meeting them and delivering the session for them. Clearly there is plenty of cricketing potential there too. I see a bright future for cricket at Barnhill.'
Further sessions are planned to develop and prepare our cricketers to represent Barnhill at the C6 Cricket Festival taking place at the Indian Gymkhana Cricket Club [Hounslow] on 19th June. 12 teams are competing playing 45-minute matches of 6 a side.
