Sky Studios Trip

Film Club students play starring roles on and off screen
On 5th June 2026 20 members of the Barnhill Film Factory went on a trip to Sky Movie Studios in Elstree in north London. The studios are brand new – some of the biggest films in the world are being made in their filming lots.
The students were divided into two groups and were given the afternoon to direct, produce, edit and star in their own movie trailers. Parents should be able to watch their children’s films through the QR code given to each pupil.
Marie had this to say about the Film Club trips: “They are absolutely amazing and they really let me learn more about movies. With trained personnel we get to make our own movies and act professionally and that gives me ideas for future movies”.
One additional highlight – apart from making a movie trailer - was finding the original jeep used in the first Jurassic Park film!
